So much has been said and written about the very ideas of pursuing one's passions in life irrespective of how others may be looking at it. Some has termed it to be the worst advice they ve' ever got in life while others are full of praises to their maker for having pursued their passions against all odds.
In this very post, sorry that I may be sounding a little bit different from what the average readers may be having in mind concerning the topic, but spare me the critics until you re' done reading through my own line of defense or reasoning here. Welcome!

The truth of the matter is that, as an individual, we are passionate about some specific things in life and wish to turn whatever that may be as our profession in life. Yes, we want to be hailed for having the guts to pursue our passions in life and be able to bring it up to something tangible.

While some of us may be given to the pursuit of their passions at all costs, which is personal decision anyway, there are however some pertinent questions to have in mind while doing that because passions becomes meaningless when it's run after without proper planning and good organizations.

No one ever make it to lime light simply by expending his energies on what never worked, there must be genuine reasons why any of one us would be doing whatever he does to keep life going, therefore whatever that may be should at least have the individual covered to a reasonable degree.

Some Questions To Be Considered On Pursuing Our Passions:

*How profitable is that particular passion of ours that we are encouraged to pursue at all cost?

* Is it profitable enough to consistently keep food on our tables?

*How about paying our bills and taking care of every other necessary things of life?

*Even though we are passionate about it, what of our present dispositions towards that which we might be this keen about?

You see, no one is interested in having anyone talked out of what he really want to do in life but it all boils down to how relevant that may be. Passion being defined as a great powerful emotion, should be treated as such but not when it's clear to others with some experiences in that line of thoughts.

We are all gifted as individuals but even as that, our personal gifts or talents needs time to be developed and many a time before that comes to the fore, there are usually some actions that precedes it thus paving the ways for the real talents to be manifested at the right time for it. Though real passions may be said to be inborn in us but what if nothing is done to harness it?

Working to get whatever we are interested in done rightly and profitably goes a long way in saving us from indiscriminately wasting our times on irrelevant matters.

Some Important Areas That Our Passions Are Often Tested

Blogging has become what so many people are venturing into today and that may be as a result of how profitable it's said to be, when you take time to study one blog after another, you would notice that not all are profits driven but greater number of blogs online are out there to make money and probably replace their current 5-8 hours jobs.

For certain, many bloggers are making enough money from their blogs than they ever imagined whereas others are struggling to afford their internet connection fees blogging. In all of these, when you look properly, you would discover that both of the two sets of bloggers mentioned are doing the same thing but in different ways and that is where it all hangs.

Blogging can make you money but only when you blog profitably and that is the area where the topic of this post comes in, (our passion). We may be passionate about what we do but if others are indifferent to that passion, it becomes meaningless especially when that passion is the only source of our income or hoped to be.

Though this is applicable to all business ventures in life but it's mostly noticeable in blogging as the result of many going into it just to show their passion while hoping to make money from their efforts.

Your passion can only make you money if other people can relate with it or are conversant with the problem you are trying to solve by sharing it with the public.

In essence, you can blog about people's concerns like the best proven ways of taking care of babies, handling your household items to last longer, your experiences with your first pregnancy, the second, third e.t.c and how others could benefit from it.

You can as well blog about the best and proven ways to deal with in-laws, husband, wife, how to manage your finances, and how to do practically do anything of concern to the general public.

So most of these things may not be your passion but if you want to blog profitably, you must work your way around on how you can turn any of the above experiences into what others could benefit from.

The fact that blogging is an avenue for making money may have been the reason why there are millions of blogs and that is good for those who can be able to turn it to profitable venture in the long or short term.
Everybody want to make money and they do no wrong, the only wrong thing there is that majority of them are doing it wrongly and that's why they are not making any dime from it.

It has been said that the best place to have your passions tested is on the internet as a blogger and that is true because your passions, no matter how passionate you may be about it, takes you nowhere if you can't read between the lines and see what others are passionate about.

Simply put, it's never about you but about those that you want to attract as your readers, your interests, otherwise known as your passions, stands no chance when it comes to making money online as a blogger.
If personal interests generated traffic in the times past, the tides has changed as anyone blogging about how his mother in-law or pets are doing things at home, such a blogger might just be writing for himself alone.

Some people make the mistakes of blogging wrongly and hoping to become the next Nigerian Lindaikeji or Darlinton Omeh but how wrong they are as they may never smell any tangible result unless they get their line of reasoning straightened out and learn how to do that professionally and to satisfy the public.

I have read some articles online which say that blogging is not for everyone because of what it takes for a person to make it as a blogger. Well, that may be true to an extent especially if one is blogging for wrong reason! It's generally said that one is blogging for wrong reason if he is blogging for money.

That they say; because of the works involves in building a blog into a reputable platform besides taking a chunk of your time while testing your patient to the limit. In other words, inpatient is the major reasons why many drop by the way side in blogging.

Building a profitable blog is not all about how passionate a person is about writing and creating contents for people to read and how educative it may be. Contents is the king but definitely not all types of contents because some contents are irrelevant to some particular online community which one may be having some sleepless nights crafting endless contents for.

If a person is just busy writing what he is passionate about to an uninterested community, chances are there that he would do that for years and eventually die poor living and pursuing his passions.

To succeed online, a person has to be selfless and provide that which matters to the public because it's meant for them.
A typical example here is a taxi driver who puts his vehicle outside mainly for the services of his clients and not where he want to go as a person because money can only enter his pocket if he steers his taxi towards the directions of his passengers.

Likewise a blogger, if he wants to make money from his hard works, learning to focus on what interests his readers and having the discipline to stick with that is the only thing that would see him through to the next levels!

Other life endeavors are not different as long as pursuing one's passion is concerned because what matters is not what gives you some personal satisfactions but that which provide solutions to others people's concerns.

We want to succeed doing that which we derives some measure of satisfactions from but if after spending some reasonable time on it and later discovers that what we are giving our best to all in the name of being passionate about it, appears not be giving us any worthwhile thing in return, that should be enough indication to us that no matter how passionate we may be to the given field, channeling our attentions to something else would be more valuable than clinging to what is not presently working.

Get working with what works and not anything that keeps you for all times sweating for nothing when there are other things you can get yourself going with.

Preparing Ourselves To Pursue Our Passions

Everything comes with some prices and pursuing our passions in life is not an exemption. Some tend to get it all wrong by insisting with their passions even when it's clear to them that they are going no way with...at least not with the present rate of their inputs.

When whatever we are looking for appears to be completely out of our reach, insisting on getting it may project us as being clueless and hopelessly aiming for what we can't afford. While it is good to endure at whatever we are doing and give it some times to yield, we should equally be wise enough to know when doing that could cost us what we may not be able to afford at the time.

It is in times like this that we need to tell ourselves the real truth and step aside, get into what we can be able to manage with for the meantime and gradually work our way up to that which we initially weren't able to handle.

So preparing ourselves to pursue our passions shouldn't be taken for a joke because it entails a whole lot for the individual to bring his passions to life especially when others may be apprehensive to it.

There has been some people who started projects which they failed to see to completion just because they insisted on carrying it out at all cost when they could not afford the cost.

Many at times too, doing whatever we could presently afford to do while temporarily suspending the pursuits of our passions also gives us some ample opportunities to adequately prepare ourselves for that which our hearts yearns for in life.

Passion is not a magic word if it's without some reasonable back ups in terms of funds and specializations. Before you can turn that passion to something worthwhile, think of something else which could serve as a support while you work your way through to that which you want to surprise people with and be known for.

It could take you years, no problem but just maintain your focus and know what your plans are as you continually work towards it unnoticed by the others for now
