Being Appreciative Of What You Have Shows Humility

Being appreciative of what you have shows humility. It all started long ago with the Creator and one of His creations. Neglecting of what one have did not start today.It started way back, and  has since then remained the same but with some differences between fellow creations.

 God created the earth and wanted dominion over the humans He created for better directions and good governance, but one of the angels He created and endowed with much abilities and beauties came up and had God's purposes for His creations thwarted, and ever since then, things had continued the wrong way for all the creations.

The same issue of sovereignty have kept men for ages at each others throats, with the unending questions of  who are you and what I am sorts of. Which has in essence denied great many of the nice qualities of being appreciative of what ever we have.

For instance, a person may spend years with sleepless nights and some hurdles to get something into existence, when whatever it is starts taking some shapes, he probably out of his good will extends his hands to the others for partnership in bringing whatever it may into the lime light and in making it available in some larger quantities for the benefits of others who would be beneficiaries of his products by patronizing him.

Then among those ones he called in to be his associates in the business, he would have them placed in various managerial positions and few he would place above others in the organization while he chooses one or more staffs to be his closer associates depending on who they are or what their qualifications is.

 Then as time wears on into the business, so many other things will ensue as well.

When the founder begins to enjoy the benefits of his years of hard works and starts helping those that are working with him by giving them their own due shares of what they agreed on, it won't be long before some of the staffs start looking for pay raise and promotions, which are not bad themselves.

But what becomes bad is when those that were placed closer to the CEO starts eyeing his position unduly.

 As soon as  they begin showing disdain for the privileges they are given, so many other things too will start going disorderly leading to ungratefulness among them and probably lead them to loosing their envied positions in the company.

 Some of them would take a step further to show or try to prove to the boss that they too has known what he knew and may go ahead to start their own without knowing that what they are seeing is not an overnight achievement; and by the time they become aware of this, so many other things would have gone terribly wrong with them because they have lost the privilege of working with an established company and are highly shortsighted on what it takes to bring a firm like the one they took for granted to life.

When that becomes their ordeal, instead of humbly returning to their original boss who has shown them that life is to be lived just as it was originally created and meant to be, -to be lived and touch others positively with the goods from it, they won't do that but instead, will resort to blackmailing the individual who exposed them to the real life as it were.

 And since that is not going to take them anywhere, they will remain there and live the rest of their life in mediocre.

This happen in all areas of life, ranging from the gate man you have at your house to the maid who you employed to do house works for you.

It's either your position as the landlord is being envied or your husband is being cornered for a selfish attentions.

These vices are everywhere and it is not helping us just as the initial disobedient to God has not yielded any positive thing but multiplication of wrongs and  unappreciative hearts! Instead of reducing, it is rather increasing by the day but the very fact that some of us see it as wrong and also notices that it is on the increase, that therefore should serve as a reminder to us that the situation is not helpless, that we can do something about it if we are rightly inclined towards doing things right instead of making things worst.
Let us stand up against the wrongs and even against ourselves if we notice that we are the culprits.
