The rate in which the unmarried parents is increasing around the world today is indeed alarming. According to  a research that was conducted in 2005, United State of American reportedly have about 3 percent of children who lived with unmarried parents, but within 11-years after, the percentage of the children living with unmarried parents has increased to 5.3 percent.

Another staggering figure on the rise was that of Estonia which doubled with the highest rate of children sharing their lives together with cohabiting parents. The report put Estonia at 31 percent increment from 2005 till date.

But the most disturbing trends among all these was that the rise of cohabiting parents and children with them happen to be on the increase in countries where religion and family life were said to be the best among the rest in the world. For instance, countries like Poland which boasts of being highly religious stands out with a sharp increase of children living with unmarried parents. From 2.5 percent over a decade ago to well over 15 percent today is certainly not a joke. The same time frame has Ireland's increases put at nearly seven percent.
