Take few minutes and look at this blog side by side, then scroll down while keeping your eyes on the colored highlighted links in the main paragraphs as you move your cursor through the page. Please don't click READ more until you are done with the exercise. Thank you!
You are here now because I believe that you re' done with what I asked you of, thanks for doing that. So what did you see while going through the banners and links?
For sure, you were greeted with so many adverts of choice which probably brought you to this site, some of the adverts may be irrelevant to you as an individual or got you keen which probably made you to reached out for your credit card and make some purchases. Good.
That's just the reason for having them there, for you to get interested and patronize the links. Thanks for doing just that.

However, my happiness for your patronizing any links on this blog would be short lived if I had just succeeded in making you part with money that is meant for other things of important which is not here. I'm very sorry for that. You can still ask for a refund if you deems it all that important or you just wave it off as one those impulse buying habits that you are probably still battling to overcome.

I know by now that you must have known where I'm driving at, after having taken the exercise at the very start. I need money, likewise the owners of those links but one good thing about it and why they are displayed here is that anyone can patronize them by choice and never by any form of excessive persuasions or by force.

I hope that I'm not derailing from the main topic here as I gradually take you down to my original intention of writing this very post.

My Reason For Writing This Post

How Can We Avoid Impulse Buying?

Impulse buying is all about stumbling on things and immediately buying it for any reason which was never part of your original budget. Does that fill a need or a want? We know how hard it is to work for money and that if any thing at all comes our way by sudden, money rarely come our ways by impulse, so why then should we allow ourselves to be carried away by impulse buying?

It is true that we can at times get some items outside our budgets once in a while, but it certainly spells doom for anyone who forms that as a habit because money is never meant to be spent at a whim because when you do, you would never forgive yourself when something that is more important comes up and the money to be used had already be spent on some irrelevant things with little or no value at all.

We need to be prudent with money, why? Just because you have hundreds of it today at your disposal doesn't guarantee that you would always have it in such quantity whenever you wants to spend it.

It's always tempting to buy those clothes, shoes, wristwatches and other jewelries that were brought to your office just because your colleagues are buying and to pay when you receives your salary.

That may sound and appear to be wonderful even to be considered an opportunity; but did you really think it well before being overtaken by your fellow colleague's buying spree? Why has it suddenly become too important just because this seller comes in with his/her wares into the office and suddenly turn everyone of you into chanced buyers? Ok, You may be in need of this very shoe or clothes at this point in time, but is your pocket ready and have you planned for it before hand? I hope I'm being understood here. Thank you for that.

Impulse buying never fill much needs because most of the time, it only serves the buyer at that very moment and later get thrown into archive where it gathers dust with other less important materials in the house.

Being  Prudent With Our Spending

Buying for the sake of just buying/prestige (like, buying from an online store when we don't really need it) doesn't serve any useful purpose but rather depletes the pockets and makes us to be in constant want. You can always wait, after all the materials are not running, even if they are, you can always make plans for them at your convenient.

Whenever we are buying anything, whether offline or online, it's good to always prepare our minds and think it through that we really need it and also weigh the needs against the wants.

 1. Managing Our Impulses

The very culprit here is our personality. Can we slow down when we are tempted to dip hands into our purses and make that unplanned purchases? Slowing down and being realistic helps a lot because we can always make plans and not jeopardize our monthly budget.

2. Shopping To Be In Good Mood

If you simply shop to brighten your moods, chances are that you would become more disappointed at the end of the day because you may have ended up buying things that are useless.
So if you shop when you are moody, by the time you gets back to your normal self, you would regret all that you had spent your hard earned money on because they will be of no use to you and that increases your chances of being moody for some additional reasons now.

 3. Shopping For Recreation

Recreation time is no doubt a time for one to freely exercise him/herself but definitely not the best time to shop. Too bad for you if you are using a credit card with less restriction because you would just shop n shop until much depth are accumulated. It's playing time and what's more, everything turns into play even when you are engulfing yourself with huge depths which would later make you to regret every bit of your actions. Be ware!

 4. Association

There's this feeling that we are friends, work in the same office, earn the same salaries have most things in common but we seldom reason that all hands are not equal. There are some serious things that differs in your lives and of which you know, but just tries to ignore and leave it for mere chance. If you care enough to remember that you have your individual responsibilities towards your families and other peculiar  roles in life. Choose friends that would encourage you to be reasonable with your spending habit or those who respect your clear views on money and what it could buy.

 5. Know Your Financial Status

There's this adage that says 'if you don't know your bus stop, you would be taken elsewhere'. You know what that means, it certainly gonna cost you additional bulks to get back to the right destination.
What this means is to be alert and tract your monthly spending. Asking for help in this area would be wonderful. Make sure to regularly settle your credit card in full each month and buy only what you need.

Another Impulse Buying Traps - Our Children

Our children's wants are always on the increase and would never be satisfied. The advertisers are highly aware of this are not letting the opportunities pass them by, No!
They are not sleeping over this but are making adequate uses of this loopholes from unsuspecting parents.
What usually happens when you take your kids out to places of interests or even to the shopping malls. It's always like this, Daddy/Mummy, I want this one and that one but even when you buys this and that, more would still be requested from you.
Same goes for what they see on the Television/Internet. If you are not careful, you would end up becoming advertiser's puppet through your children.
