I have few questions to ask and you are free to give your answers if you want to.
As a
musician, footballer, trader, teacher, banker, driver and all the rest
professions, do you feel the impact of that which you are doing? What I mean is
this, apart from the monetary incentives of your job, how else do you profit
from it?
Do you honestly derive some satisfactions in that which you do or are you just going through the notions of merely doing your own part and only to collect your pay at the end of the day? Good, but what if the pay is not available, could there be other reasons why you have to hang on as it were?

Well, what
inspired this write up hit me so hard and the only remedy is simply to handle
it this way.
Yes, the best option is to let it out just the way you have it now; in writing!

As a
writer, book author, or whichever format best describes or suits you, how does
your works affects you? Do you write just because others can read and probably
pay you? Sounds odd. Isn’t it? Great indeed.
Your well
researched topics/write ups should appeal to you before anyone else! In terms
of benefits, a book writer ought to be the first beneficiary of his work before
any other person, just like a musician who always starts dancing / nodding his
head to his fine lyrics before any others. How
much does he pay to himself?
Likewise you as a writer, those nice instructions or suggestions you are proudly passing on to many unknown others, how truly has it benefited you the founder?
A happy writer at work |
Likewise you as a writer, those nice instructions or suggestions you are proudly passing on to many unknown others, how truly has it benefited you the founder?
Let’s put it this way, you came up with some nice tips on how to live happily with your spouses, how to take good care of ourselves, how to raise responsible children, how to make A1 in exams e.t.c. But on a serious note and sincerely speaking, how would you feel if you knows very well that you falls short in those areas?
Now taken
from another angle, assuming you were good in those areas but no one cares
about your hard work and no compensations for your sleepless nights and so on.
Well that is where your real intents come to the fore. Are you writing just because you picked a book from that store and boldly written on it with a shinning attractive color, “3 million copies sold,#1 in the world” and you immediately felt that this is an avenue for making quick cash, which of course it is but yours seem not be ranking as it were. what do you then do?

In love with what he is doing! |
As I
pointed out earlier, that is where your real intentions come out. Just like
every other field of endeavor, if you are not passionate about it, you are sure
to drop your pen and paper as it were and look for something else to do, but if
you are really convinced that what you have in that book, on that web page, or
in any other format worth the efforts, To be candid, you would surely push it to
the next level. You will because a workman is worthy of his wages. and more so because you believed in what you are doing.
Having come
this far with me, you may have noticed some digressions, and rightly so, because
I touched on many life endeavors but somehow narrowed it down to writing which is the
main focus, but the same principle holds true if properly aligned to other
areas of specializations.
So as
writers, especially the newbies like my humble self. Take this advice: keep on
writing if you truly have passions for it and you are equally convinced of the
inputs you are making, keep on writing even when all you are getting as
feedback is critics, analyze them critically and move on for it is part of your
profession/training, keep on writing even when no one is reading your works and
other avenues for supporting or exposing your works are exhausted; let your
integrity and passions carry you through and more so with your reliance on God
in that what you are doing is also for the good of untold many others who would benefit when exposed to it.
Rest assured that when your works would be
recommended or stumbled upon--- you would have become a force to be reckoned
with in your niche.
Keep those
late night candles burning and as you do, remember this source whenever the
desired results come pouring in like rain.
To your
success!!!.
